It’s so easy to get off track with a goal. One gooey cinnamon roll leads to another poor food choice, and pretty soon you’re having chips and a milkshake for dinner. One evening of playing solitaire instead of making calls becomes three weeks with no contacts.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m all in favor of treating yourself every once in a while. I’m in favor of taking the occasional break. It’s just important to make sure that those occasions are actually occasional and don’t become the norm.
