I know your schedule is probably crazy. Mine certainly is. Still, it can help your business tremendously to attend the occasional party for another direct sales company. Attend with your eyes and ears attuned to what that consultant does that connects with the guests. Pay attention to your feelings toward the things the consultant says and does. You can get great information about what works and what doesn’t.
Make connections with consultants from other companies. (I’m assuming, of course, that you’re already cultivating relationships with people from your own company.) I have gotten great ideas for enhancing my parties, coaching my hosts, and leading my team from people who are successful with other companies.
If you can, and if there is a company that’s products really speak to you, host a party for another company. If it’s been a while since you’ve done that, it can really be an eye-opener. What kind of coaching does the consultant do for you as a host? How easy is the party? How do the host benefits compare to your company? The idea is to help you see things from your own host’s point of view.
Glean all you can from others, and be sure to share the things you’ve learned as well. It’s an excellent way to enhance your business.
