At Bible study last night we were talking about how to recognize God’s voice when He speaks to you. We talked a lot about peace, about simply knowing. Then, a musician in our church said it’s like when you get a guitar chord just right. It’s perfect. It sounds and feels just right—a moment of aahhhh.
We also talked about the fact that it is important to be in relationship with God if you want to hear His voice. Hearing Him is all about that relationship. Using the guitar chord analogy, if you’re not in intimate, daily relationship with God, it’s as though you’re tone deaf. You can’t tell the difference between a perfect chord and a perfect mess.
Daily, intimate, connected relationship with God is essential to hearing His voice.
